Summary of Episode 8:
In this episode of "I Will Be Your Bloom", the 8loom boys are going on a nation-wide tour! The main leads get into a "hanamaru" relationship. The other members find out about it and are generally supportive. The male lead finds an opportunity for Naruse to direct the filming of their music video. They start to think about what they would like to be doing 10 years from now. The situation spirals out of control when a picture of the male lead holding the female lead's hand gets circulated on the Internet.
Thoughts:
Ngl, a "hanamaru" relationship sounds childish. This kind of evidence leads me to believe that the female lead's character is more suitable to work with very young children. The starting scene looks like an adult entertaining a young boy. I'm not sure if she is taking him seriously. He confessed his feelings, but she didn't exactly reciprocate or reject him. Is she confused about how she feels towards him?
Well, I think what Naruse told the male lead in previous episodes was really wise. Yes, you might have caught feelings, but before you do anything, you might want to think about what you hope or want to see happen. Realistically, an idol in a boy band, who is dating, will lose his appeal to a significant number of people ma. But it doesn’t make sense to keep the relationship secret because how long can you do it for?
Anyway, Naruse’s character switch is so drastic. Few episodes ago, he was getting excited about the male lead potentially having feelings for the female lead. Now that the male lead has confirmed his feelings, Naruse’s not happy for him at all. I wonder why.
I’m feeling a little sad that the show’s going to be over in 2 more episodes. Really enjoyed watching the growth of all these fictitious characters!
