Summary of Episode 7:
In this episode of "I Will Be Your Bloom", the 8loom boys find out why the female lead left her previous job as a teacher in the midst of planning an appreciation party for her. She opens up a little bit about her struggles and lets the boys know that seeing them overcome their challenges encourages her to face her own problems bravely. With the appearance of a potential love rival, the male lead decides to confess his feelings.
Thoughts:
She really has a bad habit of avoiding topics that she’s uncomfortable with. I guess this is another thing that reinforces their age gap in the show. It's normal for a student to approach the teacher to overshare about his/her problems, but you will never see a teacher pouring his/her heart out to a student. Perhaps the female lead still views the male lead as a student and is intentionally creating the distance?
Assuming that she has feelings for him, I think that she’s going to stop them after hearing Ms Kousaka’s advice. There are good intentions behind her advice luh. I think if she wants to have a relationship with him, she’d probably have to quit first. But even her quitting may not be enough because he's an idol. One has to give up many things in order to be an idol.
I like the consideration behind the screenwriting. There’s got to be a way for the 8loom boys (and us) to know what happened to the female lead in the past. Her sister is not going to share something sensitive like this to everyone, so the screenwriters introduced Mr Iketani and let both of them tell the story to the relevant people at the same time.
Rooftop confession~ But why does Naruse look so troubled? I thought he was supportive of their relationship?
