Summary of Episode 2:
In this episode of "I Will Be Your Bloom", the 8loom boys embark on their journey to achieve the intimidating goal of topping the charts. The male lead’s strictness on their diet and practice schedule contribute to conflicts within the dorm. He has many responsibilities and feels stressed out. The female lead works hard behind the scenes to increase their fan base and even successfully secures a chance for them to perform. However, there’s a misunderstanding and they do not want to be performing in mascot costumes. They go ahead and do it after realising the huge effort she had put in to publicise 8loom. Later, the 8loom boys overhear the male lead’s HTHT with the female lead and they decide to share the group’s responsibilities together.
Thoughts:
I think the cinematography is not the tightest but I like the slight casual-ness that matches the vibes of the show. Not sure how and why, but this filming style makes me focus more on the casts' acting skills. The small details (e.g. other members interacting or passing in the background) and their subtle expressions help to make their acting more natural.
I love the scene when the female lead "ra-ra"s the neighbourhood folks. Wa, even I also fall in love with her character sia. She really tries her best for the boys and it's really sweet to see him piggy-back her home afterwards.
You can tell that he really looks up to her when he shares with her his inner thoughts and stress when she’s doing laundry. And of course, his character is such that he won’t tell his members that he’s stressed out, so the screenwriter needs to create this scene where they overhear his convo with the female lead.
The laundry scenes also gives viewers a chance to have a proper look at the other members. I'm pretty sure we will learn more about them in the following episodes.
As he’s slowly opening up to her, we see more of them spending time alone with each other! Hoho~
Ending was so unexpected and the female lead's reaction's so funny! I knew that there might be something wrong with her sister’s engagement, but I didn't know they were going to pair it with another "crisis".
Their top fan, Yuririn, is not just anybody sia. She’s an actress leh. Do they know her identity???
Curious to know: I think Yuririn will definitely make an appearance in later episodes! But do they how who she really is? Did Chayney’s manager take up this role on her own will?
