The last and first few days of a year are great opportunities for us to reflect on our lives. It may be more common to hear people talk about new year resolutions, but I think it's also important to look back and celebrate small achievements of the past year while we say "goodbye 2023 and hello 2024!"
I locked myself in a quiet room and listed out "Things I'm proud of in 2023":
Consistently going to the gym every week since March
Planned and travelled to 4 countries - Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia
Committing to weekly Japanese classes since February
Starting this blog in May
Trained hard and won an external team sports competition in June
Made time for the people I care about - gatherings, graduation, housewarmings and weddings
More conscious about self-care - health (e.g. meals, exercise and dental care) and pamper sessions
Home renovation planning and confirmed an ID before 2023 ended
Did I know that I was going to do all of these at the start of 2023? Nope. Everything kinda fell into place along the way. All I had in mind at the start of 2023 was wanting to have a good break and potentially figuring out what I wanted to do next. As of now, I still don't really know what I want to do with my life, but I have decided on something I wish to apply for in 2024. Hoping for my application to go through. Can't reveal much now but wish me luck?
With regards to this blog, I intend to continue posting reviews and personal thoughts. I like putting my thoughts into writing. Just don't know if I want to continue with this paid domain. An acquaintance shared about her experience of streaming (and earning) through Twitch recently and I am intrigued by that idea. Perhaps, I will check out other people's Twitch livestream and consider livestreaming myself... playing games? Let's see how it goes, hahaha!
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to my first cruise experience in a few weeks' time. Looking at various blog posts and YouTube videos for tips. Might come up with my own post after the trip to share my experience!
